The PaperFree Corporation, an EMC Captiva VAR, makes the point in a blog post that with budgets getting tighter, workforces are becoming increasingly dispersed. This is where distributed capture can play an important role in information management.
PaperFree goes on to say that employees can achieve distributed capture through the use of MFPs that are connected directly to EMC Captiva InputAccel through the Nuance eCopy ShareScan software.
See the post here.
In tough economic times, why shouldn't you take advantage of the scanning capability of your MFPs rather than buy incremental scanners, especially when you can connect them directly to your production capture system. Information workers are used to using MFPs, which are designed to be shared between a group of workers. It seems like a smart choice.

I've been following the blog almost semi-religiously for a few years now, and there is a reason for that. It's the content. Keep up the hard work

Could you break down how much of the search/referral traffic comes from RSS aggregators, like Google Reader? I think that would be interesting to see.
Thanks, and keep up the good work! :)

The wrong group can lead you down all kinds of paths you really don't want to be on. And retracing your steps can be a long and hard journey.
